Aura initiates community empowerment
Our relationship with communities doesn’t end when the sale is done
As a company that sees itself as part of the community in which it operates, Aura makes a point of investing in, initiating, and contributing to community promotion and development projects all across Israel.
We at Aura know that strong communities contribute to national empowerment, and promote business. Promoting communities promotes Aura. We therefore assume an important role and contribute significantly to the communities in which we operate.
Promotion of housing projects, including urban renewal projects, creates opportunities to change and develop not only the urban living environment, but also the day-to-day reality for the residents, while maximizing the personal potential of each community member, of all ages and all walks of life.
Aura is building communities
A residential project is a complete set of solutions which includes environmental planning, access routes, infrastructure, community institutions, social services, and, of course, the buildings and apartments. Each of these connect to the human fabric in which a vibrant and dynamic community exists, made up of families and individuals who nurture their personal dreams within such community.
Aura addresses all of these aspects already at the design and development stage of each project, when the community is still at only a ‘vision’.
Staying in the city and empowering local residents
Aura has provided significant discounts on some 200 apartments for local residents of Yehud-Monosson, Kiryat Ono, Hadera and Ramat Hasharon. In each project, dozens of new apartments were allocated, planned, equipped, and exclusively offered to residents of the city at a 10% discount on the appraiser’s estimate for the projects.
Renewing
urban infrastructure
Urban renewal is a golden opportunity to renew a community’s infrastructure, such as public buildings, retail centers, schools, kindergartens, public gardens, and city parks.
In the Ono Valley project, Aura carried out neighborhood development projects, from an overall perspective of the community’s needs:
- Building daycare centers and kindergartens in the neighborhood
- Renovating the schools
- Building a retail center and upgrading neighborhood retail centers
- Building a park at the center of the project with playgrounds, outdoor sports facilities, and seating areas.
Listening to the whispers of the heart
The non-profit organization Rachashei Lev (literally: whispers of the heart) operates a national support center for children with cancer, and it is a leading body in assisting and supporting such children and their families. The founder and head of the organization is Rabbi Reuven Geshayed, who is supported by members of the organization’s board, which includes prominent Israeli doctors, public officials, members of the justice system, and leading Israeli business people.
Aura has collaborated with Rachashei Lev for many years, and it takes an active part in a variety of the organization’s activities, including:
The “shinshim” (young men and women who have elected to dedicate a year to serving the community in the period between finishing high school and drafting into the IDF) and other active volunteers at Rachashei Lev receive a variety of assistance from Aura – ranging from providing official organization t-shirts to taking care of volunteers’ daily needs.
Aura helps Rachashei Lev to acquire the equipment necessary to care for the children it supports and to improve their quality of life.
A special team of Aura employees takes an active part in Rachashei Lev’s activities on a regular basis. They also encourage Aura’s customers and residents of its urban renewal projects to lend a hand and open their hearts to Rachashei Lev’s activities.
With Rachashei Lev, Aura holds Purim and Chanukah parties for children, where it brings in celebrities, operates game and refreshment stands, and gives the children a joyous break from their difficult routine.
